A photorealistic still life of a Victorian tea table, with every object modelled from scratch in Blender and textured in Substance 3D Painter.
The challenge
A still life lives or dies on its materials. The goal was a Victorian tea table that could pass for a photograph: glazed porcelain with painted flowers and gilded rims, polished brass, crocheted lace and a slice of layered cake, all under soft window light.
The approach
I created the entire scene from scratch in Blender, modelling every object, and textured it in Substance 3D Painter. Shading, lighting and rendering were done in Blender, with a shallow depth of field to give the shots a photographic feel.
The result
A set of close-up product shots where each material reads clearly, the kind of imagery that works for tableware, interiors and food brands.
